The Futuroom multimedia education centre is a very unique new form of symbiosis between theoretical education in the area of mass media focusing on local news reporting and real-life journalism in a newsroom that features the most advanced technologies.
Futuroom is a part of a new project of the PPF Media company that is focused on regional news in print and online forms.
Futuroom cooperates with significant partners: The World Association of Newspapers (WAN), the Google company or the Atex company, or with the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University in Brno. Futuroom is open for everybody who is interested in the latest development in the area of modern media.
Futuroom offers training for directors of publishing houses as well as editors-in-chief, managing editors, reporters, photojournalists, DTP specialists, marketing and advertising specialists and other professions that take part in media production.
Futuroom also prepares special courses for people who cooperate with media, e.g. state officials, commercial and non-profit sectors and other participants who wish to learn something about how modern media work.
The training courses offered by the Futuroom education centre – the newsroom of the future – take place directly in our newsroom and are taught by experienced lecturers and experts who have extensive knowledge in the media business. State-of-the-art multimedia technology is used during these courses.
Children and teenagers are offered a special programme called Junioroom. They can try what it takes to be a journalist and they can learn how the most advanced technologies work. These courses are fun and adjusted to the kids’ ages.
